Research

before we even planned out our music video we had undertaken a lot of band research. I researched the band's and their style of music and videos. the mise en scene for each band's video's were very different but they all had the simular depressing narrative. Most of the Fray's video's were in greyscale or if not greyscale they were shot very unconventionally such as "You found me." Which was shot in very open locations and again had that serious style of video. You can find these videos on this website http://www.thefray.net/

6th february shooting

On the 6th of February my group all went to London to shoot our music video. This was a good day as we shot most of the music video and now we only have a little bit to do.
This video is before I started shooting and I was directing Kyle for the music video. I was showing him how he could stand and I said to try it once.

This is the first shot I took and near the end of the shot I thought it looked a bit dull and then I asked Kyle to add more hand movements as it would look a lot better
this is the improved shot as kyle is using his hand movements and it looks a lot better compared to the other shot. at the end I say how good it looks.

Editing of website

For the past two weeks I have been editing the website and this week I have decided to develop a flash video for the band's logo. The idea I had was that it would feature on the top of every page and it would move across slowly.

This image is showing me developing this flash video in adobe flash. I have started on the first frame which shows where the image will start.

This is the second phase where i have clicked on a frame later in the video and it shows the text moving

This shows the text moving

This is the flash video on the website and how it looks
